Lupus and multiple sclerosis

I was diagnosed with MS 3 years ago and now my doctor thinks I may have lupus. Is there a connection between MS and lupus?

Lupus and MS are both considered autoimmune diseases and are diagnosed and treated in different ways.  MS and Lupus are in no connection directly, but lupus is known as the great imposter, which can sometimes mimic or imitate the symptoms of MS.

My MRI from 3 years ago showed plaques. Is there anything on the MRI of people with lupus of the nervous system that is diagnostic for CNS lupus?

CNS Lupus is nervous systemic involvement which is very hard to diagnose, MRI scans show abnormalities that of systemic lupus.  Which could be due to a variety of things such as specialized tests like brain wave tests another word for electroencephalogram EEG and a spinal tap considering the findings of CNS lupus.

My child has lupus. What is the prognosis?
