I have hair loss due to several scars on my scalp. All are
about the size of silver dollars. Is there anything to help
this kind of hair loss?
Advanced
scarring on the scalp is a result of biopsies, but there is
a chance of significant amounts of hair growth.
When scarring is not prevalent treatments would
include corticosteriods or antimalarial drugs which can be
very successful with hair re-growth.
Scarring is not present when the disease is in the
inactive stages and hair usually grows back.
Will
the drugs used to treat baldness help the hair loss due to
lupus?
Medication
suppresses the disease which can promote hair to grow back.
Is there anything that can be done to cover the lesions and or
sores that show-up on my face?
Make up products are commercially made that are very
helpful to cover up sores or lesions on ones face. Some products include Fallene’s Total Block SPF 60
Foundation can be used for sun protection and cover up
purposes.
